hi all my kweens and kings! So I’ve been gathering a lot of yummy content for you guys to post, but just getting stuck not posting… classic. I’m going to have to dedicate a day either this week or next week to just write, write, write and have everything scheduled to post! But! I have this outfit post ready for you guys and I’m getting it the f out there, before Thanksgiving week, so you guys can get some inspo for your Thanksgiving dinner outfits, perhaps?! So pop on (another Sam Smith song… I warned you!) – Burning by Sam Smith – and let’s get it going. As always, scroll down all the way to get links to my outfit pieces!

So, I went with a different kind of thing than I’d usually wear in this outfit- a velvet dress with a cut that I don’t even know how to describe, but it’s definitely one that was risky for my body type! I’m always wearing clothes that are more on the baggy side because of all the random curves on my body, out of comfort. But I went for it with this dress and it was actually pretty comfortable and not too form-fitting to make me uncomfortable!

The color of this dress is just PERFECT! It made me feel so regal (which is why I’m sprawled up on this throne in such a way). To make it a little more interesting, I threw on this gorgeous celestial top.

The bottom of the top has a U-shape so it doesn’t make it look like a messy “just threw it on” top over the dress, but intentional. It has an amazing small mock neck and puffy sleeves, so much fun! The detailing on the front and shoulders are little star embroidery/beading.

Another way that I styled this dress is with a similar white beaded kimono. If you want to show off the whole dress but still want to add something fun to it, the kimono works because you’re not covering any of the dresses details in the front.

For accessories, I just wore a few bohemian silver rings and these (also really regal), long earrings. I didn’t wear necklaces for this one because of the high neck and details on the kimono/top.

I hope some of you will be inspired by this blog or at least find it entertaining!
