hey all you lovebirds! this is a very special post because…. I’M ENGAGED! kidding… BUT I did do a wedding shoot with my baby boy boo thang. My photographer friend Kaleena Thompson (who also shot this outfit of mine), is now launching into wedding photography. She already has had the chance to do some beautiful work and I was lucky enough to play model for her! Well me and Erik of course. So scroll down and check out the gorgeous photos she took of us and find out how you can contact her for your own photoshoot! While you’re doing that, jam to Somebody Else by The 1975.

As you can see, I somehow had a bohemian wedding-type dress just laying around in my closet… I know, what the h e doublehockeysticks is wrong with me? I actually bought this dress a few months ago on sale from Free People. It was only $15! I had to… Once I got it, I loved it but didn’t realize I would have no occasion to wear it. I put it away and my closet and thought “Okay, the next blogger brunch event I go to!” Well that blogger brunch never came (LOL) so when Kaleena reached out to me and asked if I had anything to wear, I knew it was fate.

The beautiful flower crown and bouquet were made by Kaleena’s friend’s husband. He did an amazing job! The pop of purple went great with the forest backdrop as well as my dress and Erik’s burgundy suspenders and bowtie! I felt like a boho queen and was loving every minute of it. If you notice, I even found the perfect “wedding ring” in my jewelry stash 😉

The best part about this shoot was just how great the energy was! Erik was a little nervous going into it but Kaleena was super easy to work with as always which made it easy for Erik and I to be ourselves and it definitely shows in the pictures!

Check out some more of my favorites from the shoot and scroll all the way down for my absolute favorites ❤

It was fun to play dress-up and do this wedding shoot with Erik and Kaleena. She’s always professional, fun and the best to work with! Her website is going to be re-vamped soon but you can go on it here to contact her and check out her work and of course on her Instagram here! If you want to see the rest of the pictures, they’re on her website here 🙂

stay on point,

Welcome boob troop! Welcome to the journey that is the hip nip. I’m currently a college student pursuing Digital Media Studies in sometimes-sunny-sometimes-hurricaney Florida! I’m passionate about my major but I’m also adrenalized when I’m talking about fashion and lifestyle trends. I always find myself scrolling through fashion blogs and lookbooks of my favorite companies and realize that hours have passed and I have to start studying for my midterm that’s only 10 hours away. I hope some of you will be inspired by this blog or at least find it entertaining! If anyone wants to reach out and give me suggestions or collaborate, please feel free to contact me through the contact page or through any social media link that you can find on my blog. 🙂 Stay on point, the hip nip
