hi beauties! I hope everyone’s new year is going just jazzy. I had a meltdown this week until today. I basically deleted ALL the images on my website. Every single last one of them, in under ten seconds. Why? Because I’m DZUMB! I was trying to clean out space on my website but accidentally deleted every photo. LUCKILY customer service was able to help me and got all the photos back on this morning ❤ so I’m relieved now. Besides that chaos, this past weekend was chaos for me! I’m excited to tell you guys about a new company/creative brand that my friends and I started: LYNK. So read on and listen to Sunday Candy by Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment.

SO, what is LYNK? LYNK Studio is an emerging local brand curated by 4 creative girls. (Me), Kristen Kim, Nishita Aswani, and Ludmilla (Belle) Canto. LYNK is actually the first initial of each of our first names! We’ve come together to create, what we hope to be, a brand that showcases different “aesthetic” perspectives and creates a platform for people like us who appreciate unique craft and art, who are free spirited and down to earth, and love aesthetically pleasing environments. Our website is still under construction, but to get an idea of our vibe, feel free to visit our Instagram @LYNKStudio, which is our effort towards creating original social media content.

What we’re working on right now is selling different types of items. We designed our blankets and got them ethically made in an Ecuadorian village called Otavalo, which is why we named these the Otavalo Series. We’re also selling locally thrifted pieces that we hand-picked and curated ourselves to represent our combined styles while highlighting each product’s unique qualities. We have scarves, belts, and other accessories like this. Check some products out below!

Our big debut weekend went down last weekend and it was amazing. On Saturday, we started off at Saturday Sesh hosted by Dream Lab MIA at The Wynwood Yard. We got a few sales and A LOT of support! A bunch of friends from high school & college came out to support which was so amazing. Everyone was pimping out our brand even more than we were ❤ We had a cute set up with a photo station and even a little Instagram giveaway to win a free blanket from the Otavalo Series!

On Sunday, we had a tent at The Miami Flea, which was surreal. We’ve always wanted to participate in it since it’s such a huge event that happens every month here. It’s full of vendors with amazing, mostly handcrafted products as well as live music, a bunch of food trucks and stands and, of course, a million pooches walking around with their moms and dads! It’s the modern spin on a flea market, which I love. We were able to sell a lot of merchandise and get the word out at the Flea.

It was a very successful debut weekend and it gave us the chance to really understand our brand and see how it reaches people and how to improve on it! We’re already ready for our next big steps and will definitely be participating in events like this over the next few months! So if you’re in the area and want to meet the girls of LYNK studio, stay tuned 😉

Thank you for reading and going along this journey with me! ❤

stay on point,

Welcome boob troop! Welcome to the journey that is the hip nip. I’m currently a college student pursuing Digital Media Studies in sometimes-sunny-sometimes-hurricaney Florida! I’m passionate about my major but I’m also adrenalized when I’m talking about fashion and lifestyle trends. I always find myself scrolling through fashion blogs and lookbooks of my favorite companies and realize that hours have passed and I have to start studying for my midterm that’s only 10 hours away. I hope some of you will be inspired by this blog or at least find it entertaining! If anyone wants to reach out and give me suggestions or collaborate, please feel free to contact me through the contact page or through any social media link that you can find on my blog. 🙂 Stay on point, the hip nip
