HAPPY NEW YEAR BOOB TROOP! ❤ *cue the annoying party horns* I hope everybody had a kickass new year celebration. I know I did! I got to spend time with my amazing friends and even though we slept at 7 AM and woke up at 9:30 AM and I was and still am sick, it was a night to remember 🙂 I’m excited to share my first outfit post of the year with you guys. For this post, I was able to work with the super talented and fun Kaleena Thompson. She was great and found this amazing location to fit her vision of a boho girl in a forest. It seriously felt like we weren’t even in Miami anymore. So read on and enjoy the Wrecking Ball [CAKED UP REMIX] by Miley Cyrus. Don’t forget to scroll all the way down to shop this outfit!

So Kaleena said she wanted to stay true to my style and asked me to wear a very boho outfit for this forest photoshoot. I was so excited and of course sent her a million photos of outfit choices. I finally decided to wear this dress. I actually have only worn it once before on Halloween when I dressed up as Cleopatra (a year ago!). Since it has a low neck and low back, I paired it with my favorite lilac bralette. I also wore my new amazing gladiators that my baby boy Erik got me for Christmas! I’ve been wanting these for MONTHS and I’m so excited that he got them for me!

As you can see from the photos below, this dress has a lot of movement and a slight high-low shape to it at the bottom. This makes it really comfortable while maintaining this cool dynamic.

Accessories wise, I wore some chokers and layered chai necklaces. I’ve actually had all of these for a long time and jus recently remembered after finding a photo on my boyfriend’s phone of myself with all of these bad boys on. #BLESSED that he saves my annoying selfies. I thought that this dress was simple enough that I could go all out with the accessories and mixing and matching is always a good idea.

NOW ON TO THE SHOES 🙂 Everyone knows I’m extra as hell with my accessories. I was actually playing a game on New Years with my friends and we had to give out cards to people who matched them most and I got “all about the accessories” (always a compliment) 😉 These shoes have a bunch of beads and pom poms all over them and the fact that they’re gladiators makes it even better because theres room for more! I thought they went great with this dress and kept the tan/neutral color scheme while adding some pop of color.

Overall, I adore this outfit and I adore Kaleena for creating this great vision and capturing it so well! Here are some more photos from our shoot. Definitely contact her if you’re in the Miami area for a photoshoot. She’s fun and easy to work with and it feels like you’re just hanging out with a friend! 🙂

happy 2017 and stay on point,

Welcome boob troop! Welcome to the journey that is the hip nip. I’m currently a college student pursuing Digital Media Studies in sometimes-sunny-sometimes-hurricaney Florida! I’m passionate about my major but I’m also adrenalized when I’m talking about fashion and lifestyle trends. I always find myself scrolling through fashion blogs and lookbooks of my favorite companies and realize that hours have passed and I have to start studying for my midterm that’s only 10 hours away. I hope some of you will be inspired by this blog or at least find it entertaining! If anyone wants to reach out and give me suggestions or collaborate, please feel free to contact me through the contact page or through any social media link that you can find on my blog. 🙂 Stay on point, the hip nip
