baggy sweater, bodycon dress & tulle skirt

hi hi my little snow bunnies ❤ hope everybody is enjoying this much needed holiday season! in Miami it feels more like summer than winter… it’s consistently hot with no hint of a winter chill at all. but whatever, as long as I don’t have to study for finals anymore, I’m GOOD. right when break started I took advantage and drove up an hour to Ft. Lauderdale to do a photoshoot with photographer Sarah Sturgis. So listen to Sam Smith’s cover of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas because you know I have that ish on repeat. — make sure to scroll all the way to the end of the post to shop my outfit!

So, before we got down to business, Sarah, KuzaBelle and I had a quick coffee and chit chat sesh at the cutest café called BREW Urban Café. Everything in there was all mismatched and had an awesome vibe (check out pics below). Then we went ahead and shot some outfit pics! I love how they came out so if you want to collab with Sarah or have her take some sick photos of you, definitely contact her on her website or Instagram.

As you can see, I went very boho for this outfit. I was telling my friends I wish I could dress like this everyday but I don’t wake up early enough to put on all these accessories or put an outfit like this with a million layers together. Also for some reason cute boho pieces tend to be more expensive than your typical clothing so mama just can’t afford that right now.

I wore this bodycon dress/tulle skirt set from Free People and I was originally going to wear a white turtleneck under it to make it more winter-y and bring some neutral colors into the purple. I put it on in the morning and was already sweating my sorry ass off so I couldn’t commit to it. I decided to wear this old baggy cropped sweater I had instead and did a little knot in the front and I’m way happier with that decision. I think it’s more me and kept the bagginess to the outfit which I love. I’m super into tulle lately (peep my last outfit post) so I’m happy I could keep it going with different styles. Trust me, I have even more tulle in my closet.

I paired the outfit with these Free People lilac candles that matched perfectly with the boho vibe (they’re made in my motherland <3) and also matched with the lilac color of the tulle skirt! I went the extra mile and put two jingly jangly anklets on too.

For accessories, I went with the gold/silver mismatched mix. I think I’m slowly transitioning from only ever wearing gold to wearing silver and now wearing both! I think it adds something cool when you mismatch jewelry of both gold and silver. So I wore a bunch of gold bracelets but then silver rings and this silver statement necklace. With any boho outfit, it is never complete until you go over the top with jewelry/accessories.

I hope you guys enjoyed this outfit and definitely make sure to shop the links below to get this exact same look! You won’t regret it 😉
