aye summer babies! I think an outfit post is long overdue. I wanted to make this my “last summer outfit” since Monday is my first day of school 😦 LUCKILY it’s my last first day since I’m going to be a senior! (stay tuned for my last first day outfit post next week). Also, as I’m writing this I got a notification that says today is the mark of my one year blogiversary, so heck ya to that! Anyway, I’ve been obsessed with Closer by The Chainsmokers so listen to that ish and celebrate by reading this (plz, do it for me…)
This outfit felt a little preppy while boho at the same time if that makes any dzang sense?? I wore this thin white-striped blue crop top, a dark wash of high waisted denim shorts, and this beautifully textured blazer!
I love this top because you get the basic crop top and high shorts look without actually looking like a basic bish. The stripes, halter straps, and and layer of this top makes it super interesting and unique! Paired with some plain denim shorts and a blazer to add some flair? ding ding ding! We got a winning outfit ladies and gents 🙂
These sandals definitely have to be worn with a plain outfit because they’re so busy but (as you know by now) I can’t do plain. I think that this outfit brings enough by itself but the shoes are able to spice it up a bit without making it WAY too busy.
As for accessories, I wore this string thing I found in my mom’s closet as a belt last minute because my shorts kept falling off. Not sure if it goes with the outfit but hey, whatever! Just pretend it does and people usually agree 😉 I also have these amazing white henna temporary tattoos that I got from Indigo Lune. It adds some accessory without actually putting on a ton of bracelets like I usually do. Also, it really pops for the summer when you get a sick tan hehe. I’ve mentioned before that I never wear silver jewelry and I know that my boyfriend reading this post is going to be confused because if he remembers one thing about my style, it’s that I just wear gold jewelry, not silver. BUT I was kinda feeling the silver vibe so I threw on a bunch of rings. I’m obsessed with the shine of the silver and the fat ass stones set in them. And it never hurts to try something new 🙂 The strap up shoes have colorful pom moms, tassels, ethnic fabric, and leather strap ups and I had been dying for them for the summer. Finally, I wore this little silver necklace that I got from India so long ago that I don’t even remember.
I hope you guys got some inspo from this preppy/bohemian outfit! Happy end of summer ❤
stay on point,
