Surprise homies! Bet you didn’t think I’d do two posts in one day ;). I thought that since I did a Valentine’s Day post, I should also do a Galentine’s Day post. Funny enough, my valentine took these photos hehe. Just so you guys know I’m not a FAKE… I’m actually spending the day before Valentine’s Day with my gal pals (Nish, Belle, Kuza, Shay, Michelle, & Guti). We have a whole day of activities lined up and I wanted to showcase some outfits that you guys can wear. All of these outfits incorporate the new lace-up trend that’s been going down. I’m a victim to lace-ups as well… they’re perfect and can be styled in so many ways! So I wanted to show you guys the three (YES, THREE) outfits that I’ll be rocking this Galentine’s Day for different occasions. Get ready, this post is a long one… you’ll need to listen to Sorry by Justin Bieber to get pumped up for this one. Just promise the music video won’t distract you!
Outfit 1: Bro, do you even brunch?
The outfit is all in the name! This Galentine’s Day, my gal pals and I are making Acai Bowls for brunch before heading out to a modern and contemporary art museum we have in Miami called Perez Art Museum (PAMM). PAMM is where I shot my white one white, flowy tops, & tassels post. So yeah, extremely beautiful location!
For this part of our day, I wanted to wear my new t-shirt lace-up dress (wow, hyphen city up in here). I love this SO much because the lace-up goes so low but doesn’t reveal too much, just a sliver of skin so it stays classy but super trendy. I added a tie-dye headwrap and my high gladiators that go great with any dress for that boho feel.
As for accessories, I wore a colorful clutch (different than the other one I always wear, I swear!) that I found when cleaning out my closet #thankugod. I wore a bunch of antic gold rings and bracelets to go with it as well as an antic gold choker that I can’t get enough of.
Now, as Jay-Z would say, on to da next one…
Outfit 2: Netflix & Chill
After we have our homemade acai bowl brunch and PAMM outing, the ladies and I are going back to blogger-betch Shay’s house for some Netflix, chill, and QUINOA BOWLS! We can’t stop eating but at least we’re healthy (sometimes). So I’m going to change into this little number for our chill time.
I love this outfit because it’s comfy enough to chill in but sporty enough to go out in. Just in case we need to do a chocolate run, I’ll be ready! I wore this lace-up chunky hoodie with my leather-accented leggings.
I paired this outfit with my favorite baseball cap and GivBag (they match each other!). I also wore my beautiful, classic Adidas superstars. This gives the outfit a sporty feel that goes well with this sporty lace-up.
Outfit 3: GNO
Last, you have to end your day with a bold outfit. After we Netflix & chill, we’re going to go out to Wynwood. That’s the art district in Miami where they have art walk every second Saturday of the month. This is when all the galleries open up and there’s music, food trucks, and fun stuff going on in clubs and bars. Since it’s the art district, I always like to dress up edgy but still boho (gotta stick to my roots).
For our GNO, I’m wearing this tight lace-up top, pleather pants, and tie-dye kimono (the tie-dye kimono somehow looks just like my head wrap from the first outfit).
This outfit is great on its own but I love the accessories that go with it. All of the black keeps it edgy but the things I wore also feel boho. I wore this super cute wide-brimmed fedodo hat (that’s how I say fedora now, ok?). I also wore just one (I know, how did I manage to limit myself) gold bracelet and the same choker as in the first outfit. I paired it with my mom’s gawgeous purse and my FAVORITE shoes that bae got me for Christmas.
I know this post is loaded but if you can’t do 3 dramatic outfit changes with your gal pals, who can you do it with? I hope you guys embrace the lace-up trend that’s going on because it can be so different! And never think that just because you have one lace-up item you can’t buy another. They all have their own unique styles and can be worn differently.
I hope you guys have a great Galentine’s Day (or Dudentine’s Day for the dudes out there)!
stay on point,
