Hello my beautiful boob troop!
So this post is way more important than any of my other posts because it’s about the Nomi Network. Just recently my friend from high school Lea Aftimos reached out to me and informed me about this organization and I immediately felt a connection to it and didn’t hesitate to agree to post about it. So one thing to know about me is that I’m very passionate about a few things- one of them being civil rights and specifically women’s rights.
So Nomi Network is an non-governmental organization (NGO) that helps women who have been trafficked in India and Cambodia to gain back control of their lives. They do this in several ways- teaching them necessary skills such as opening bank accounts, hygiene, giving them an education, as well as teaching them how to embroider and sew an paying them salaries. All of these skills are then used to make them financially independent as well as confident, empowered women.
These women are able to then make products such as t-shirts, yoga bags, tote bags, wallets, and more and are able to sell them online! I love the name of their website: Buy Her Bag Not Her Body. Everybody needs to click on that link and buy anything you can! What they sell is handmade, one of a kind, beautiful, and for a good cause. All proceeds go to paying their salaries and are able to keep this amazing NGO going so they can continue to train and empower women. If you go to the website, you can enter the code FAIR15 and receive a 15% discount!
Please visit their websites The Nomi Network and Buy Her Bag Not Her Body to learn more about this organization, spread the word, and get involved in any way you can! You can also follow them on Instagram and Facebook!
Because what’s better than fashion for a cause?
stay on point,
the hip nip
