black, white, & denim

Song while reading the blog: “1991” by Azealia Banks.

So usually I wouldn’t be caught dead with any item of long sleeved clothing on myself. Living in Miami, it’s either sunny and hot, raining and hot, breezy and hot, etc. Even though it’s still in the high 70s/low 80s here, the breeze has actually been a cool one… I know, I can’t believe it either. I thought I would take advantage of this to wear my new denim jacket over a simple school outfit. I’m always one to wear crazy patterns and colors but sometimes even I need to tone it down.

I wore a simple white, cropped, flowy tank with a pair of flowy black shorts. I love these shorts because they’re comfortable and simple but they have a cool design to them and can dress up any plain outfit. Then, of course, I wore my chunky denim jacket (which is 5 sizes larger than the size I actually wear… I like ’em chunky) and a pair of <<fake>> ponytail hair slip-ons (save the animals guys!).

Because I’m jewelry-obsessed and try to make everything I’m wearing as boho as possible because I can’t help it, I wore tons of jewelry to boho-fy this outfit :p. As you can see, I wore some gold bangles and big rings on my left hand and some beaded bracelets and more big rings on my right hand. I love both gold and silver jewelry but I always wear gold jewelry but this outfit would’ve also looked great with some monochromatic, silver jewelry.

As for neck candy, I wore the first things I got my hands on during my morning rush of getting ready before getting to class. I wore this suede maroon choker with eye beads on it, it can also be worn as a wrap bracelet! To balance off the dark maroon, I layered 3 delicate gold necklaces and then put a jade statement necklace (that I stole from my mom) to bring the whole thing together. I was actually wearing one more cool choker that I just got and am in love with but my friend told me not to wear it… I’m the queen of “there’s no such thing as too much jewelry.”
